Hello! I’m Ashna.

I’m a 20-year-old artist and graphic designer from Chicago, IL. I will be graduating from the University of Illinois at Chicago in May of 2024, with a B.S. in Neuroscience and minors in Gender and Women’s Studies (GWS) and Life Science Visualization (BVIS).

Don’t be fooled by my major! Though I have a unique educational background, art has been one of my passions for the vast majority of my life. Throughout the years, I’ve had the opportunity to design for a variety of local and national organizations, working to enhance their identities in the form of logo and merchandise work. Moreover, through my BVIS minor coursework, I have gained familiarity with animation, 3D modeling, and the Adobe Creative Suite in the context of life science illustration and education. My formal education has only served to compliment my passion for design, fostering an ability to find unique solutions, strengthening my existing communication skills, and further improving my attention to detail.

I love all forms of art, from photography to graphic design to the fine arts. I’ve had formal training in colored pencils, pastels, graphites, watercolor, and acrylic painting, and I can spend hours drawing away in my sketchbook.

My artistic style lies in the balance between ornate and minimal— I try to add a unique flair to each of my designs while maintaining a clean, classic look. I often incorporate hand-drawn aspects in my designs, both through typography and within the designs themselves.

I love meeting new people, taking on new challenges, and keeping myself continually engaged. Feel free to reach out; I’m always open to a new opportunity!
