Logos

Throughout the years, I’ve had the opportunity to work with a variety of organizations and people to bring their ideas to life.

Michigan State University Model U.N.

Red Cedar Model United Nations Conference

Michigan State University Model United Nations (MSUMUN) hosts an annual middle school Model United Nations conference titled Red Cedar Model United Nations, or RCMUN. The goal in establishing this conference was to expose a younger audience to Model U.N. and encourage interest in diplomatic proceedings. I was tasked with creating a new logo and website banner in 2021, for their 10th anniversary.

The client stated that they wanted the logo to include a river, but offered little beyond that. After pitching a variety of ideas to the client, I was able to create various logo mockups and work with the members of MSUMUN to create the final logo.

The final logo and banner features the iconic Beaumont tower of MSU, as well as the laurel wreath characteristic of the United Nations. The river serves to connect MSU to Red Cedar, leading from the viewer to the tower.

The Pasupu

“The Stain on Society”

The Pasupu is a blog started by two Indian American high school students in 2020. The name “pasupu” comes from the founders’ native language of Telugu, and means turmeric. The blog was named in this way to liken the residual impact of the issues of previous Indian generations on the present to a turmeric stain on clothing— bright and difficult to wash out.

The goal of the blog is to share the cultural traditions of various areas in India, as well as shed light on the issues that Indians and Indian Americans face. The topics it has covered include colorism, sexism, media representation, and more.

The founders of the blog requested an Instagram logo and a blog banner.

Obama Legacy Initiative Gardens

The Obama Legacy Initiative (OLI), now known as OLI Gardens, is a not-for-profit organization with a mission to fight food insecurity and provide nutritious food for struggling and impoverished Americans.

The organization requested a logo suitable for Instagram and website use. After a variety of initial sketches and mockups, a final logo was decided upon. The focus of the logo was intended to be greenery, as the organization wished to emphasize its work with community gardening. However, the organization also requested a human component to the logo as well.
